This paper analyzes student mobility as internationalization strategy in one of the Regional Centres of the University of Guadalajara, University of Center North (CUNorte ) located in Colotlán , Jalisco, Mexico. The aim of this paper is to show the methodological approaches most suitable to assess the international mobility from the perspective of students. In the first part the characteristics of the internationalization process are addressed in the University of Guadalajara and the context in which the study is conducted. The case study is presented as a methodology to identify the learning strategy that result from the experience of studying abroad. It also proposes the design of an instrument for analyzing and evaluating the perceptions of students regarding the international mobility in order to identify factors that affect the low rates of mobility in this university.Downloads
