ABSTRACT
UNED is committed with the educational response improvement provided to disabled students. Among the launched measures are the public taxes exemption from 1995, improvement of physical and technological accessibility and the creation, on year 2000, of the Disability and Volunteering Unit. In 2008,as a result of UNED and MAPFRE Foundation agreement, the Center of Attention to University Students with Disability (UNIDIS) was founded. Since then, UNIDIS boost and coordinate all actions related to equal opportunities for disabled people. Among its functions, personal advise, academic and professional guidance and psychopedagogic evaluation needed for adaptation decision making are included. In this two years of functioning, UNIDIS has coordinated the accomplishment of studies related to the accessibility, improved the internal processes related to the request and provision of adjustments, developed actions of training and sensitization of the professorship and stimulated the creation of a employment agency for students and graduates with disability. In these pages the principal actions carried out by the UNED in relation with the attention, information and advice to students are detailed.
