Abstract

ABSTRACT

The article shows the results of a study carried out by the author which analyse the characteristics of the labour integration process of social educators in Andalusia. The data and conclusions are derived from research conducted in the first three promotions of students graduating in this region. We applied a questionnaire a year after finishing the degree. The study inquires about data after employment such as: the employability, the type of contract and working hours, the time that takes to find the first job, the professional category, the type of company and field of work, the mode of employment search, etc. The results reveal an unstable and fragile employability, even though most of the graduates are working in the professional field in which they were trained, half of the graduates but particularly for nearly a third of the female segment, work on shifts in part-time jobs and without social security.
