Sharenting refers to sharing information about children on the Internet by their relatives. This practice involves a series of risks linked to children's privacy and their digital identity. This can generate ethical dilemmas for parents and family conflicts. Therefore, the objective of this study is to evaluate scientific literature on sharenting. The PRISMA protocol was used as a reference to carry out a systematic review of the publications considering this topic in three databases: ERIC, Scopus and WoS. Once the established inclusion criteria were applied, 51 articles were analyzed. Among the results obtained, it is highlighted that sharenting is carried out by different people (not just parents), on multiple social networks (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.) and that information which should be private is sometimes published. In addition, sharenting can violate some fundamental children's rights because their consent is not requested and their digital footprint is created, affecting their development and well-being. Furthermore, if the ethical problems related to sharenting are considered, it could even be linked to child abuse. Therefore, it is concluded that it is necessary to carry out family guidance programs to promote digital literacy and to raise awareness about children's rights to privacy and image protection.
