Desarrollo y cultura tras los objetivos del milenio : consecuencias en la cooperación educativa internacional

Résumé

Diversas reflexiones han tenido lugar en torno a los conceptos de cultura y desarrollo a lo largo del presente siglo, influyendo en la cooperación educativa internacional. Se puede afirmar que ésta actualmente se rige por los Objetivos del Milenio y los establecidos en el «Programa de Educación para Todos», incorporando poco a poco el concepto del Desarrollo Humano Sostenible, dando cabida a la diversidad cultural como un aspecto sustancial de la sostenibilidad. Estos planteamientos teóricos tienen consecuencias directas en los programas y proyectos de cooperación educativa. A grandes rasgos, destacan iniciativas de educación intercultural y propuestas que priorizan la revalorización de las culturas, gozando de características comunes pero también de relevantes rasgos diferenciadores. Establecer estos encuentros y desencuentros será el objeto de este trabajo, con el propósito de aportar diversas perspectivas para la cooperación educativa internacional ante el reto actual de la sostenibilidad cultural y ambiental.

Diverse reflections have been taken place around the concepts of culture and development during the present century, which have revealed deep influence on the International Cooperation in Education. Nowadays there is no doubt that this issue is governed by the so called Millenium Aids, and by those objectives such as the ones established in the «Programof Education for All». These two frames have gradually incorporated the concept of Sustainable Human Development, allowing the cultural diversity become a substantial aspect of sustainability.These theoretical reflections have direct consequences on the programs and projects involved in the Cooperation in Education. Broadly speaking, it can be stated that intercultural educational initiatives and proposals, while they have the revaluation of cultures as main priority, they both share common characteristics and reveal relevant differences. The objective of this analysis aims to highlight these convergences and divergences, in order to contribute to underline the diverse perspectives involved in the International Cooperation in Education, in face of the present challenge of cultural and environmental sustainability.
