Abstract

ABSTRACT

This article discusses the innovation processes and the important role of professional guidance in promoting and managing the educative change. The research on the processes of innovation has to guide the work of the counselors and to provide guidelines of action to them; the guidelines will serve to the educational community as support/help to the initiatives of change. The perception of the counselors like leaders of the processes of innovation can develop across the research on this topic. Counselors must play a leading role in the eradication of inequality and social injustice. In these last years, the research about labor incidence of counselors on educational improvement has increased. In the literature is increasingly: a) the importance about the leadership of counselor in the educational context and b) its important role in promoting equality and social justice. The paper reflects on the different conceptions and dilemmas about educational innovation, the difficulties of the processes of change and the status of guidance in the context of restructuring schools.
