Abstract

ABSTRACT

This paper intends to detect new sources of employment in a rural context and to identify training needs of its population, with the aim of identifying future actions of training for employment that improve the socio-economic reality in this territory. The study is focused on the region of Alhama de Granada, which is considerated under the directive community 86/466/EEC as a disadvantaged area. The data have been collected from discussion groups with employment agents, interviews to managers of training actions for employment, and interviews to students six months after completing their studies. The content of the data and information obtained has been analysed using AQUAD-six qualitative data analysis program for Windows. From the data analysis and results we conclude with a series of proposals for improving and planning a training offer adequate to the new employment sources detected in the studied area.
