This article tries to explain what place takes ethical values during psychotherapy. A proposal of how the valuation process occurs in real life is suggested, distinguishing a prime intuitive, rapid, emotional and non-conscious moment, which pervades our perception with ethical connotations, from a second moment of valuation, more conscious, slow in some cases, that permits a coherent decision with our personal values. Forwardly the article stops in this second moment and studies the more common problems that might create during therapy. Finally there is an example of therapy work which reflects one of the most common subjects related to the relationship with values: guilt and its approach during therapy.Downloads
