Entrevista a los secretarios generales del Sindicato de Estudiantes Juan Ignacio Ramos (1987-1991) y Bárbara Areal (1994-1998)

Este curso 2021-2022 se celebra el 35.º aniversario de la huelga de estudiantes del curso 1986-1987, la cual constituye el mayor conflicto estudiantil de la historia de España. Supuso el inicio de un trienio de movilizaciones contra las políticas del gobierno del PSOE, las cuales no satisfacían las expectativas de reforma de los trabajadores. Estas movilizaciones fueron in crescendo con la huelga de profesores del curso 1987-1988 y culminaron con la histórica huelga general del 14 de diciembre de 1988. La huelga estudiantil de 1986-1987 destacó por su masiva participación y por los importantes efectos que logró en la política educativa, especialmente en la extensión de la enseñanza secundaria. La organización fundamental de estas protestas fue el Sindicato de Estudiantes. Charlamos aquí sobre estos hechos y sobre la trayectoria posterior del Sindicato de Estudiantes con Juan Ignacio Ramos, su secretario general de entonces, y con Bárbara Areal, militante en aquella huelga y posteriormente secretaria general.
