Presidential period of the Spanish Comparative Education Society : September, 2006 – May, 2010

Abstract

During the Special Assembly of the Spanish Comparative Education Society, on the 8th of September in 2006 in San Sebastian, the candidacy headed by Professor Vicente Llorent Bedmar was approved. With a clear intention of continuate the labour of the last Executive Committee and a partial replacement of the previous Comittee members, it was initiated a presidential period during four years. During this period, some important aspects of the Society continued, such Spanish Journal of Comparative Education, the Bulletin, the biennial national congresses, Comparative Education teachers´s seminars, Pedro Rosselló award and the website. In addition it was established an award for the best paper presented by young researchers in each national congress, and both of them, REEC and Bulletin changed to the electronic edition.
