Abstract

ABSTRACT

The objective of this article is to present a proposal of basis [or a framework] for the future development of an educational guidance programme for promotion of equality and respect in sexual-emotional diversity in Secondary Education. We have chosen this topic motivated by the great amount of social and cultural elements that subordinate women and sexual minority groups throughout the world today. The rigid construction of what is it considered masculine and feminine produces reconciliation between both groups in certain moments in history, in order to fight for their dignity and rights. Whilst discussion about equality adorns many educational motives –legislative, didactic, or curricular–, inequality acquires new forms and patterns of functioning in our schools and society often difficult to detect. One of the greatest challenges of teaching staff in the midst of the 21st Century is the recognition of sexual-emotional diversity and the formulation of proposals to normalize this issue in everyday activity within the classrooms. To keep on with the justification of the guidance programme mentioned, we present the suitability of its psycho-pedagogical implementation through tutorial intervention in High Schools. Firstly, we will define the objectives and learning outcomes, together with the fundamental contents that the aforesaid programme would contain. Secondly, we will develop a methodological proposal with an inter-related range of activities to cover both with the students, their families and the teaching staff. Finally, we will resolve about the necessary resources for the implementation and evaluation of the programme.
