Abstract

The aim of this paper is to show a Brief Strategic Therapy intervention in a patient, Olivia, diagnosed as having panic disorder and agoraphobia. Throughout the article the intervention applied is shown. Treatment lasted 7 sessions and two follow-ups. Therapy main aim was to replace dysfunctional attempted solutions with other more functional ones.
At the end of the process of psychotherapy Olivia underwent a complete recovery. The two follow-ups, at three and at six months showed the maintenance of this change.
