The theoretical evolution of the social sciences and mental health does not always develop by a parallel advance in practical applications. The discourses of the professionals of mental health often declare the intention of advance but in their practice are not few the ones who still found themselves trapped in procedures that new times declare obsolete. Precisely, in this article, the conceptual principles and clinical applications of the cognitive post-rationalist model are brought up to date following their current trends into phenomenology and hermeneutics. It is a simple intent of supporting the continuity of this model.
