Adaptaciones Culturales en Psicoterapia.
Una visión cr´´ítica del estado de la cuestión.

Este artículo trata de resumir el conocimiento actual sobre adaptaciones culturales de la psicoterapiadesde una perspectiva conceptual. No se entra en el tipo de adaptaciones pertinentes para colectivo, ni en el diseño de estrategias de adaptación. Se comienza presentando las principales dimensiones de conceptualización de la cosmovisión, el colectivismo y las estrategias de integración y se insiste en la necesidad de verlas como variables dinámicas destinadas a entender el caso en cuestión. Se insiste en la necesidad de una visión crítica de la concepción cultural occidental de la terapia y se apuesta por estrategias de adaptación que tengan en cuenta fundamentalmente los aspectos comunes y la creación de marcos explicativos de cambio culturalmente relevantes. Se abordan, por último, las adaptaciones basadas en la diversidad religiosa y de clase, aspectos cuyo nivel de invisibilización es mayor que el de las diferencias de base étnica o nacional.
