Music as a tool for Social Education

INTRODUCTION. The educational needs of the current student body lead to the formation of a teacher who can bring their cultural reality which means that music and its uses become an important tool (main and/or auxiliary) in the primary school classroom. In some communities thtat in others, the music is understood as a social meeting point, as cultural promotion activity that promotes social communication. METHODOLOGY. It aims to respond to the degree of importance given to cultural and artistic activities, including the music ranks high, given the historical cultural characteristics of the Valencian Community. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS. The students of the Faculty of Education at the University of Valencia is fully aware of the importance of music education as a socializing tool; however, the greater or lesser use of it in the classroom depends on the training being conducted at university.
