Luis Miranda Podadera and his "Notions of Metric Art"

Abstract

Grammar lessons and spelling rules of the Spanish polygraph Luis Miranda Podadera (1889-1969) had great popularity in the middle third of the 20th century. In the last editions of his Análisis gramatical de la lengua española, there appear some brief Notions of Metric Art, which are the object of study in this paper, specially with regard to the contact between vowels and the question of acute, grave and proparoxytone endings of verse.
