Abstract

ABSTRACT

This paper analyzes the Italian constitutional jurisprudence on the effects of popular revocation of a law. The Italian Constitutional Court attempts to reconcile the need to guarantee the free exercise of the legislative function with that of protecting the people's will has been expressed by the derogatory referendum.
