It takes different forms when it focuses on teachers, on programmes, on student learning, on student outcomes or on universities, and it requires specitic adaptations when applied on distance teaching modalities. This paper dealt with the concepts of evaluation and quality, the different approaches used in different countries and its implications in distance teaching evaluation. University evaluation in Spain has been regulated by the Plan Nacional de Evaluación de la Calidad de las Universidades (PNECU), which is described as well as the UNED participation.Downloads
