Abstract

This article shows the need of overcoming the reductionism that takes place when excluding the psychosocial pocesses of the theories dealing with the adult dynamics and development. It also furnishes a thorough rewiew of the Transactional Analysis theory from the psychosocial perspective, a theory which, although in its classical model only considers relational and intrapsychic aspects, embodies a great potential of psychosocial integration.
