Hacia una integración teóricamente progresiva de la psicoterapia: una contribución constructivista

Resumen

En vista de la proliferación de cientos de escuelas de psicoterapia (literalmente), no sorprende que el eclecticismo se esté convirtiendo en la orientación más popular en cuanto a la práctica psicoterapéutica. Pero los enfoques predominantes de la integración de diferentes modelos de terapia comparten ciertas limitaciones como consecuencia de su defensa implícita de un ideal unificador, cosa que ignora las incompatibilidades fundamentales entre modelos teóricos. En este artículo presento una crítica constructivista al unificacionismo, postulando en su lugar una forma más limitada de Integracionismo Teóricamente Progresivo, que intenta mantener la coherencia de un modelo ecléctico elaborado.
