Abstract

The initial training of a mathematician can be approached in different ways according to the professional objective that mathematician may have, i.e. according to different mathematical learning trajectories. The future occupation of that person can be presumed, but cannot be known with certainty, since the reality of work and academic reality is not always predictable. Thus, we can and should assume that it will be, essentially, something related to problems, more or less mathematical. From this point of view, the final training must take into account that the student must be provided with a certain professional type of learning in relation to the way of facing these future problems.
This paper presents the trajectory of the work, study and analysis carried out by a student within the framework of Global Optimization. This work was awarded with the possibility of a publication in a mathematical innovation journal of UNED as a post-motivational element for the student.
Also, we present a way of approaching the end of a student's degree and the beginning of their professional teaching path. This focuses on one of the lines of work of the subject End of Degree Project of the Mathematics degree in the branch of Applications of Mathematics.
