The article focuses on analyzing the activity of the institutions of the French Republic in the last year. We analyze the presidential and parliamentary elections held in May-June 2012, and legislative activity in both chambers, with special emphasis on the declaration of unconstitutionality of several laws, among which are those of social housing law, code of environment, the allocation of the remuneration of the chief in one of the three budgets grinders laws that have been passed in this period, the Finance Act 2013 and the financial law of social security. Moreover, special attention has been paid to the proposals contained in the Report of the Commission for renewal of democracy and ethics of public life, addressing the constitutional implications that it has for the design of the institutions of the Vth Republic and for improving democratic quality.Downloads
