El presente artículo pretende ser un acercamiento a la visión que Walker Percy tiene del lenguaje humano. El novelista, relegado al olvido en el ámbito hispánico, aporta una original y profunda reflexión sobre la relación denotativa y la simboliza  con el fin de dilucidar la peculiaridad del ser humano en nuestra época relativista.

The present paper intends to approach Walker Percy’s view of human language. This novelist, consigned to oblivion in the Hispanic realm, provides a deep original reflection on the denotative relations and the symbolization process in order to elucidate the features of human being in our relativistic time.
