THE QUALITY OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN UNISULVIRTUAL: A VISION OF THE TUTORIAL PROCESS

This paper shows the continuous efforts to reach high quality in distance education at Unisul Virtual programs. These efforts are concentrated on the role of the teachers, called here Tutors. First of all is showed that this quality is not an isolated factor, but in fact is part of each process taking advantage of human talents. The Tutor role in this scenario is essential for the good development of distance education methodology. Therefore the strategies of Unisul Virtual tare focused on permanent activities to improve the tutor skills by training, support and pedagogical maintenance. The paper finishes whit results and proposals of perspectives and new lines of research.
