Educación a Distancia en Iberoamérica: XXX aniversario de la AIESAD

La Asociación Iberoamericana de Educación Superior a Distancia (AIESAD) fue fundada en octubre de 1980 en Madrid, durante el I Simposio Iberoamericano de Rectores de Universidades Abiertas y a Distancia. Su objetivo fundacional fue el de aunar esfuerzos para lograr mejorar la educación superior a distancia y promover el intercambio entre las universidades abiertas y a distancia en Iberoamérica. Fue una de las primeras instituciones en nuestra región que tuvo una visión integradora y una proyección de trabajo cooperado en esta modalidad de estudios.
Este año, la AIESAD arriba a su XXX aniversario, por lo que el objetivo de este trabajo es hacer un recuento en apretada síntesis de la significación histórica de esta Asociación en el desarrollo y calidad de la educación superior abierta y a distancia.
