Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are immersed in our lives on a daily basis. They offer a great variety of benefits in the different areas of our lives and therefore also offer advantages in the educational field. Through their use and management, educational processes are enriched. Given the situation of the latest health events that have conditioned the life of educational centers, the purpose of this study is to find out to what extent ICT have influenced the professional environments of practitioners belonging to Guidance Departments and Educational Psycho-pedagogical Guidance Teams. Sixty-seven guidance counselors from the Region of Murcia participated in this research, through a non-probabilistic casual sampling. It is characterized as a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive survey-type study. This work shows that guidance counselors consider ICT as a set of favorable technologies, providing advantages for their professional work, thus showing the way towards educational improvement. However, they emphasize that, although they know the term ICT and use and manage these technologies, there is a certain lack of technological training. This invites us to reflect on the need for training these issues, as well as evidence that ICT should increase their presence in the field of educational guidance.
