Abstract

ABSTRACT

In this paper we describe a psychoeducational intervention program applied to the case of a child suffering from cerebellar astrocytoma. This intervention was carried out during the period 2000-2001 and consisted of 3 one-hour sessions per week. These sessions took place at the childs home in collaboration with the childs tutoring teacher. The aim of this work is to show the importance of adapting the intervention program to each particular case, in order to avoid the problems which might appear during the intervention and that could affect the childs emotional and intellectual development.
