This paper presents our understanding of child and adolescent therapy from a relational constructivist approach, as a way to further develop the dialogue between contemporary constructivist theories and social constructionist approaches in a postmodern cultural context. The ten main assumptions of relational constructivism and their implications for therapeutic work with children and adolescents are discussed by means of a case example.
