All of us employ strategies in order to make sense of our world and experiences; we are constructors of meanings. What our clients bring to therapy is also a construction system. The therapeutic process has to do with a way of understanding the problems based on the individual’s personal meanings, and the therapeutic conversation will provide the ways through which new meanings are explored and negotiated, that will allow the person to continue her life with a fuller sense of the paths that she herself is choosing. We can define the psychological intervention as a therapeutic conversation and the therapist as an artist of the conversation. Through dialogue, new meanings are discovered allowing new ways of facing old and new problems.
