A look from the mirror: consequences of the biomedical approach of women.

We review how women had been considered from the medical field: how has been dealt with their bodies from research, treatment of common problems with men, the medicalisation of their reproductive life cycle and their mood anger, and even their physical appearance. This peculiar gaze on women has consequences not only on their health, but also on how they see and understand themselves.
