Sincretismo, eclectismo e integración en psicoterapia

Ante la evidencia del progresivo acercamiento de distintos modelos terapéuticos en la práctica clínica y la equiparación de sus resultados en los estudios sobre eficacia terapéutica se produce una aceptación creciente por parte de profesionales y teóricos de los puntos de vista eclécticos. Sin embargo, el concepto de eclecticismo no está bien definido y se presta a muchas confusiones. El artículo desarrolla un primer intento de categorización, distinguiendo entre sincretismo, eclecticismo e integracionismo, plantea posibles alternativas y termina proponiendo un modelo integrativo en base a una perspectiva metateórica.
