Through a transversal, qualitative and descriptive analysis of the work of Alva Noto and Ryoji Ikeda, this work presents concepts and creative trends related to the production of immersive environments from computational audio-visual creation. From a content analysis perspective, we highlight the main common features between these authors, such as microsound, the aesthetics of failure (Glitch) and Loop. In addition, we pay attention to the use they make of the computer for the sonification and visualisation of data flow. Our main objective is to describe, analyse and categorise the computational complexity of the creations of these authors to obtain a global vision of how computer science has implemented the pragmatism of audio-visual creation. We highlight a use of sound beyond aesthetic contemplation, i.e., sound as a research tool to examine the impact it has on a viewer exposed to certain sound frequencies.
