The article takes as starting point the territory of the Campo de Albacete, an area where the influence of the capital city in the surrounding towns is stated. The wide landscape variety that amasses needs a powerful preservation management in order to highlight it as an essential resource. The different surveys carried out among the population and the visitors have provided a detailed analysis at a local level, combined at the same time with the field work; being able to check the perception, on the one hand, of the population, and on the other hand, of the social factors of the different aspects and realities of the different landscapes of analysed territory. If we assess the characteristics of this landscape, strongly linked to its inhabitants way of life, it is destined to a quick extinction due to constant changes developed in the last decades; that is the reason why its protection is necessary and must be reflected enough in the base documents for its correct management. Key factors for the effective management of the landscape in the territory are taken into consideration: the Agendas 21, the patrimonial importance of Chinchilla town and the tourist development.Downloads
