Advances in transdiagnostic psychopathology have generated significant momentum in the development of transdiagnostic treatments, particularly those focused on anxiety and depression disorders. A solid foundation of meta-analytic evidence supports the effectiveness of these approaches, consistently demonstrating promising results in symptom reduction and functional improvement for these issues. This article examines the available research in the Ibero-American context, addressing various conceptualizations of transdiagnostic treatments with the aim of contributing to the identification of the scope of each perspective. Strengths, deficits, and future challenges in this context are highlighted. The analysis aims to provide an enlightening view of the transformative potential of transdiagnostic approaches in psychotherapeutic practice, without losing sight of the complexity of factors contributing to clinical change and how integration could play a key role in advancing such approaches.
