Abstract

In this research, the hypothesis of Valeria Ugazio regarding the semantics of obesity is submitted to systematic exploration. The hypothesis is based on the concept of familiar polarities. The core constructs for obesity are especially included in the polarity winner-loser. Obese persons consider themselves as losers into a familiar system.
