La terapia de poesía como tratamiento psicológico: un metaanálisis

Resumen

El desarrollo de la terapia de poesía ha experimentado en las últimas décadas un gran crecimiento. Ningún metaanálisis ha evaluado los efectos de esta terapia, por lo que se plantea como objetivo la realización de un metaanálisis que determine si la aplicación de la terapia de poesía conlleva un efecto significativo en el bienestar psicológico. Se utilizaron bases de datos que permitieran localizar estudios de intervenciones con terapia de poesía que contasen con grupo experimental y control. Se incluyeron 7 estudios con 14 comparaciones y 377 participantes. El tamaño de efecto global fue g = -1.12, con un intervalo de confianza del 95% de -1.72∼-.53, con una heterogeneidad elevada. Se encontraron efectos significativos de variables moderadoras. No se encontró sesgo de publicación. Los resultados permiten que se pueda considerar el uso de la terapia de poesía como una modalidad de intervención psicológica para personas que requieran mejorar su salud mental.
