The suicide of a close person is a particularly shocking traumatic event. To family members, the consequence of suicide grieving presents differential characteristics and requires specific therapeutic interventions compared to other type of grieving processes. This article describes the main methods of Integrative Psychotherapy as relational psychotherapy and also its application to the treatment for families involved in suicide incidents. The therapeutic process of a woman whose father makes a suicide attempt is described and also a written testimony about her phenomenological experience from the relational needs approach.Downloads
