Abstract

This article presents the preventive and therapeutic possibilities of some often-recurring games in the psychomotor treatment room, such as so-called affective-fantasy games. We analyse how these games can favour the treatment of fears so that they neither hinder nor block the child's development. The object of the Study is to explain why it is important to allow that spontaneous or well-structured types of games are worked on within psychomotor skills sessions. The repercussions on various aspects of the person are explained, both at the cognitive level and in the affective and relational dimension, but especially in the latter where these games are used from, because of the tonic-affective resonances that can be mobilised. The article explains the ways to observe and assess the emotional repercussions of these games as well as the methodological strategies that favour their development. Finally, the importance of this type of game in classic stories is pointed out and how such games can be used in stories informed by motor work at the deep emotional level.  A combinatorial methodology was used. On the one hand, a bibliographical review of the main databases, Web of Science, Scopus, Scielo, Google Scholar, and Dialnet, and on the other hand, studies of 53 cases analyzed in the Barcelona psychomotor area. The conclusions reflect the importance to deal with a correct methodology in the psychomotor room to address different types of fears through affective-fantasy play that can favor their psycho-emotional development.
