Abstract

The present work involves an ontological reflection on the educational work of a teacher when carrying out didactic interventions in 11 third grade students of a Telesecundaria of a semi-rural locality in the State of Mexico, through a quasi-experimental study explores their cognitive processes by introducing a playful activity called "The walk of an ant", where an approach to the development of an algorithmic process is carried out for the solution of a measurement problem that explores the properties of right triangles and approaches the notion of the Pythagorean Theorem. The approach identifies the cognitive
levels according to Piaget of the 11 students and differentiates in each one which processes and tools they use to solve this problem and generate their own knowledge.
