Abstract

This article looks into the concept of woman of today or new woman in Luisa Carnés’ literary works. Several strategies used by the author in order to project her ideas with regard to the new female social model —very much in vogue since the 1920s— are explored. Topics and approaches that characterize her prose fiction and playwriting are also scrutinized, as they are directly related to the defense and the consolidation of the woman of today model.
