Abstract

Trafficking in human beings is a serious criminal phenomenon of global scope. Official data reveal a significant increase in the number of minors who are victims of this crime, which can have severe implications for their development into adulthood. This study, based on 15 in-depth interviews with professionals from the administrative and third sector who work directly with trafficked minors under the guardianship of the Government of Catalonia, addresses the main characteristics of the trafficking processes that affect this group, with the aim of deepening the understanding of the reality faced by these victims to improve their approach from the institutions.
