Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Manuscript submitted has not been previously published, nor submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The uploaded file is in Microsoft Word format or compatible
- The manuscript does not exceed 12,000 words in the case of articles, 5,000 in the case of bibliographical essays or other collaborations and 2,500 in the case of reviews (3.500 in the case of two o more books)
- Times New Roman 12 is used for the main text, 11 for indented quotations and 10 for footnotes. Paragraph spacing is 1,5 for the main text and single for footnotes
- The text meets with style and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which can be found in About the Journal
- If submitting to a section of the journal peer-reviewed, you have made sure that the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed
Historical Researches
This section consists of original research articles which should not exceed 12.000 words.Reviews
Reviews should not exceed 2.500 word (3.500 in the case of two or more books)

Authors who publish in Historia y Memoria de la Educación agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
