Abstract

Pasó ya el tiempo en que se luchaba por el reconocimiento de las artes llamadas menores, en el que su admisión en los salones anuales era celebrado como una victoria ganada sobre las exclusiones de pasado. Desde comienzos del siglo xx, pintores, escultores y arquitectos se interesaron por las artes decorativas, y más particularmente en las artes del adorno, renovando una tradición iniciada en el renacimiento, que hacía participar a los creadores en todas las expresiones artísticas. Este movimiento creció en los años 20 y aumentó después de la segunda Guerra Mundial.
