Abstract

Pocas obras han tenido el privilegio, si cabe denominarlo así, de concentrar tanta atención desde el punto de vista de su exhibición pública. El «Guernica» de Picasso es una de ellas. Ciertamente es una obra que rebasa su propia condición estética, para convertirse en mito de los altares políticos. Por consiguiente, el «Guernica », por sus especiales características, tanto en el plano material, como en el iconográfico y el de sus connotaciones, va a generar un discurso museológico propio. En su exhibición como «pieza de museo» será significativo el despliegue de técnicas museográficas que velen por su seguridad/ conservación.
