El paisaje pitiuso : experiencias de conservación del hábitat rural en las islas de Eivissa y Formentera

Este artículo nos acerca, desde un punto de vista paisajístico, a la riqueza geografica del territorio pitiuso, tomando como referencia las islas de Eivissa y Formentera. Ambos territorios conservan interesantes muestras de paisaje natural y rural, identitarias con la cultura y tradiciones mediterráneas, sin embargo, atraviesan un proceso de transformación debido a la presión turistica. En las últimas décadas se han puesto en marcha una serie de iniciativas de puesta en valor de determinados elementos del paisaje rural, precisamente, como freno al deterioro paisajistico. La primera de estas iniciativas está relacionada la rehabilitación de la casa payesa mediante la concesión de ayudas económicas o subvenciones, destinadas al mantenimiento y recuperación de estas construcciones. Otra de las experiencias que analizamos es el reconocimiento de la compleja red de caminos que vertebran el mundo agrario pitiuso mediante la señalización e inventario de los elementos que encuentra a su paso, pozos, torres defensivas, etc. El artículo evalúa el alcance de estas políticas desde un punto de vista ambiental y ciudadano esperando que a largo plazo, evolucione en una sustancial mejora del paisaje pitiuso y en una mayor conciencia ciudadana, de mayor aprecio hacia al paisaje balear.
This article approaches to us, from a landscaping point of view, to the geographic wealth of the territory pitiuso, taking like reference the islands from Eivissa and Formentera. Both territories conserve interesting samples of natural landscape and rural, identitarias with the Mediterranean culture and traditions, nevertheless, they cross a process of transformation due to the tourist pressure. In the last decades a series of initiatives of putting in value of certain elements of the rural landscape has started up, indeed, like brake to the landscape deterioration. First of these initiatives payesa by means of the concession of economic aid or subsidy is related the rehabilitation of the house, destined to the maintenance and recovery of these constructions. Another one of the experiences that we analyzed is the recognition of the complex road network that vertebran the agrarian world pitiuso by means of the signaling and inventory of the elements that finds its step, wells, defensive towers, etc. The article evaluates the reach of these policies from an environmental point of view and citizen hoping that in the long term, pitiuso evolves in a substantial improvement of the landscape and in the greater one it brings back to consciousness citizen, of greater esteem towards the Balearic landscape.
