Integración en psicoterapia: ¿crisis de madurez de la terapia del comportamiento?

Resumen

Este artículo es una revisión y valoración de la trayectoria seguida por el autor y la terapia de modificación de conducta después de 25 años de trabajo con ella. La finalidad no es infravalorar las aportaciones de la modificación de conducta a la psicoterapia, sino poner de relieve que la suposición de poseer en exclusiva la verdad es más bien corta de vista y peligrosa. En este sentido en el artículo se proponen actitudes abiertas hacia la integración con otras corrientes psicoterapéuticas, con el objetivo principal de aumentar la eficacia en el trabajo clínico.
