Abstract

In this article I will discuss an constructivist perspective of the bereavement. That perspective emphasizes the difficulties caused by sociocultural context when someone has to cope with the death of a family member, a serious life transition. The best-suited therapy to deal with this problem considers the social, family and personal aspects which are affecting the loss experience. On this matter, the therapist helps clients -individuals and families- to found a narrative based on a new link with the deceased person that allows clients getting involved in a satisfactory life.
