Evolution of the therapeutic alliance and symptomatic reduction in the first eight psychotherapy sessions: a case study.

The present study represents an archetypical case of a man who experiences dificultes in his intimate and social relationships. This paper exemplifies how by means of the plan of select treatment, based on an integration perspective, the client is confronting the above mentioned difficulties, promoting changes in his style of relation, improving his safety and selfesteem and restructuring the significance that has of the emotions and the persons. The results show the evolution of the therapeutic alliance and symptomatic level along the first eight clinical sessions.
