From the moral development point of view the restrictive or purgative ways of eating disorders are considered as the extremes of two polarities. The restrictive type, as the anorexia, are attributed to a heteronomic structure, while those of purgative type, as the bulimia, are better explained from a socionomic point of view. The psychotherapy of these disorders is related specifically with the work guided to the moral development toward the autonomy.
