Abstract

Abstract. The suicidal problem is undoubtedly one of the most difficult for the clinician. In helping people at risk of suicide, they often walk blindly without a conceptual framework that serves to explain-understand such behavior. However, without an understanding of experience and suicidal behavior, it will be difficult to give effective help, no matter how much the research points to various supposedly explanatory biomedical parameters. In this article we present two psychological models of suicidal crisis: the psychoanalytic model and the existential one.
